In the Footsteps of the Canadians: Juno Beach  Tour

End the day with a breathtaking view from the cliffs of Ver-sur-Mer and visit the British Normandy Memorial, which honors the 22,442 British soldiers who died in 1944, including many Canadians.

 2. Juno Beach & the Juno Beach Centre

 

Start your visit at Juno Beach, where the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division landed under heavy enemy fire. Discover the remains of German bunkers and coastal defenses.
The Juno Beach Centre, located in Courseulles-sur-Mer, offers an interactive exhibition on Canada’s role in World War II. Canadian guides share the personal stories of soldiers who crossed the Atlantic to fight for freedom.

 5. Lunch in Courseulles-sur-Mer

 6. Canadian War Cemetery in Bény-sur-Mer

 

Pay tribute to the 2,049 Canadian soldiers buried in this peaceful cemetery, a solemn reminder of the heavy price paid by Canada for the liberation of Europe.

 

 7. Abbey of Ardenne

 

Visit this tragic site where 20 Canadian soldiers were executed by the 12th SS Panzer Division after being captured. A memorial now honors their memory.
